Tread Lightly!’s Executive Director
Matt Caldwell is responsible for the strategic direction, operations, key partnerships and overall leadership of Tread Lightly!
Matt’s career has included time at global brands like adidas and Michelin, but for the last 15+ years, he has spent time in the advertising, marketing and design agency world, working with clients in the automotive, automotive aftermarket, transportation and sports + entertainment sectors.
Matt was born in Pennsylvania and grew up in New England (Vermont and Massachusetts). After attending college in Florida, he settled in the Upstate of South Carolina. Despite being an East Coast guy, Matt and his wife relocated to Utah just over 4 ½ years ago. The time in Utah has further deepened Matt’s love for outdoor recreation. Matt enjoys hiking, camping, biking, off-roading and exploring all this great land has to offer.
Tread Lightly!’s Assistant Director
Danielle Fowles-McNiven works to further the organization’s mission through partner development, program management, educational outreach and oversight. Previously, Danielle served the organization as the Assistant Director and Education and Training programs manager – administering all aspects of Tread Lightly!’s Tread Trainer program.
Tread Lightly!’s Education and Stewardship Manager
works to expand in-the-field education by facilitating Tread Trainer courses, maintaining visibility for Tread Lightly! through outreach events, and supporting Tread Lightly!’s nationally recognized programs. With a degree in Public Relations and Advertising, Evan understands the effectiveness of using communication to reinforce high ethical standards for all outdoor enthusiasts.
Tread Lightly!’s Communications Manager
With a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications/Journalism, Jerrica focuses on creating new communication materials, strengthening communications to all stakeholders and disseminating information through traditional and new media strategies.
Tread Lightly!’s Marketing Manager
Using multi media and innovative techniques to tell Tread Lightly!’s story to a wide and varied audience. Creating community through creative communication. Originally from Northern Ireland, Brian brings his worldly experience from many industries and melds it with his passion for outdoor recreation and healthy lifestyles.
Tread Lightly!’s Grants and Agreements Programs Manager
Mindie supports Tread Lightly’s mission through reporting and grant writing. She has 15+ years of operations and admin experience and will have her MBA complete, from the University of Utah, by December 2020. Taking JEEPs and OHVs off-road is terrifying to her, but she cannot help but smile for days after playing this way. She also loves biking, hiking and boating.
Tread Lightly!’s Membership Manager
Mandy has an extensive background in customer service which serves to help to grow and maintain Tread Lightly!’s member relationships. Mandy helps promote the Tread Lightly! mission by working directly with our dedicated members. When she’s not working, she enjoys camping, hiking, and motorized recreation.
Tread Lightly!’s Office Administrator
Working along side all team members to help make sure day-to-day operations run smoothly to promote Tread Lighty!’s mission. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Communicative Disorders from Utah State University, as well as 8 years of customer service and office experience. She enjoys motorized recreation and spending summers camping with her family.
Tread Lightly!’s State Coordinator for Ohio and Michigan
Tim has more than two decades of experience working in the nonprofit sector. He has most recently served as Vice President of Relationships for an Ohio non-profit, creating new investments through partnerships both corporate and personal.
Tim’s longtime love of the outdoors was developed while living in Michigan’s beautiful Upper Peninsula, where he graduated from Northern Michigan University. This passion has brought him to Tread Lightly!. Tim learned at an early age how important it is to be responsible while you are enjoying outdoor recreation. Tim also loves to play golf and spend time with his wife Sue Ellen, and of course, his cats, Buddy, Andy, and Cody.
