Every Time You Go Outdoors: Think Safety, Bring A Friend, And Be Prepared
- If you leave camp, always tell an adult where you are going and when you will be back.
- A grown-up should be with you when riding ATVs, dirt bikes and golf carts.

- No double riding on ATVs.
- Ride ATVs and motorcycles that fit your size.

- Remember to pack the 7 essential items: water, food, first aid kit, raincoat, flashlight, sunscreen, and a whistle.
- Go to school—take an ATV or motorcycle safety course. Some areas require it.
Always Leave the Outdoors Better than You Found It
- Don’t litter or leave food or trash behind.
- Pick up trash left by others—as long as it is safe.
- Wash your bike or ATV and other gear after every ride so you won’t spread weed seeds.
- Don’t pick plants, flowers, or take rocks.
- Clean up after your pets.
