Becoming a member of Tread Lightly! is a crucial way for your club or association to express its commitment to environmental responsibility and help protect access for your club’s recreational pursuits.
 
Tread Lightly! offers some substantial benefits to its clubs to help educate its members, enhance its image with the community and keep the great outdoors beautiful, healthy and open to the public.
 
Tread Lightly! offers two types of club memberships: Member Clubs and Official Partner Clubs.

STEWARDSHIP GRANT PROGRAM: All Tread Lightly! Member Clubs and Official Partner Clubs are eligible to apply for a grant of up to $500 to organize a clean-up or trail maintenance project. Apply today! Read more about the Tread Lightly! Stewardship Grant Program.
 
WIN GEAR: All new and renewing members of Tread Lightly! will be automatically entered to win some great outdoor gear worth up to $200! See the list of prizes or check out some recent winners. Click here for official rules.

  • Membership demonstrates your commitment to the environment and outdoor recreation, helping develop positive relationships between your club and land and water managers, community members and other recreation groups. 
  • Your contribution will make a difference in keeping the great outdoors beautiful, healthy and open to the public by helping us fund educational materials, educational programs and restoration initiatives. 
  • Members can be given special volunteer opportunities.  
Official Partner Club - $250 annually

  • Voting rights.
  • Official Partner status and eligibility for use of the Official Partner logo in literature and other club correspondence (upon approval).
  • Receive 50% of membership dues back in free Tread Lightly! educational materials, annually.
