Tread Trainer Program

The Program: How It Works

The Tread Trainer program is designed to train participants in innovative, practical methods of spreading outdoor ethics to the public with a curriculum specifically focused on motorized and mechanized recreation. Once a participant becomes active in the Tread Trainer program he or she is equipped to present the Tread Lightly! message to other educators, clubs, employees, visitors, enthusiasts or community members.

How do I get Trained?

Or click here to request a Tread Trainer Course in your area. Requests must be made within 3 months of preferred date and can be made up to 12 months in advance. Due to limited funding Tread Lightly! cannot accommodate every request.

This traditional course focuses on off-highway vehicle land based recreation:  Tread Trainers complete an 8-hour training course provided by a current Master Trainer and are qualified to present Tread Lightly! Awareness course and promote Tread Lightly! at events.  Learn more about the Tread Trainer Course.
